Bronco CB35091 YW-701A Armored C & C Vehicle (Gulf War)

The YW-701 is a modern Chinese production command vehicle. The truck is powered by a single 320 HP engine. The length of the vehicle is 5.48 meters with a width of 2.98 meters. The main armament is a single 12.7 mm machine gun. The YW-701 was created as a development version of the Chinese YW-531 armored personnel carrier, the first versions of which appeared in the ranks of the PRC army in the 1960s. Compared to its prototype, the car has many components - incl. the engine, suspension, undercarriage or the overall shape of the hull. On the other hand, the communication equipment, which consists of as many as five radios, powered by its own power generator, has clearly been expanded. The export version of this vehicle (YW-701A) was sold, among others, to Iraq and Sri Lanka. Compared to the original version, it differs in the drive unit. The YW-701A version took part in, among others, Operation Desert Storm in 1990-1991.
