Howitzer 21 cm Mrs.18 (full name: 21 cm Mörser 18) is a German 210 mm heavy towed field howitzer from the Second World War. The weapon was designed and manufactured by Krupp's works to replace the 21 cm Mörser 16 howitzers from the years of the First World War. This gun was one of the basic heavy guns used by the German armed forces in 1939-1945. The maximum range achieved with this gun was up to 16,700 meters, while the effective range of the shot was about 14,500 meters. The initial velocity of the projectile fired from the 21 cm Mrs.18 was about 550 m / s. The ammunition used in the howitzer was separate loading, i.e. it consisted of a propellant and the actual projectile. In total, 6 different types of throwing charges and several types of projectiles were used, including, for example: 21 cm Gr. 18 or 21 cm Gr. 18 Stg, i.e. standard 113 kilograms high explosive shells.
