Cannon 3.7 cm Flak 37 (full name: 3.7 cm Fliegerabwehrkanone 37 ) is a German, WWII, 37 mm automatic anti-aircraft gun, the serial production of which started in the second half of the 1930s. The gun was a development of the Flak 36 gun of the same caliber. Compared to its predecessor, the new weapon had a simplified targeting system. The Flak 37 cannon had a rate of fire at the level of 80-120 rounds per minute, and the maximum horizontal range was about 6,500 meters, with the effective range of a shot oscillating around 4,200 meters. The gun was capable of firing various types of missiles (tracer, fragmentation, armor-piercing, training, etc.), with an average weight of approximately 640 grams. It is worth adding that the initial velocity of the shells fired from the FlaK 37 cannon was from 770 to 820 m / s.
