The Embraer 195 (another designation: Embraer EMB-195) is a twin-engine, narrow-body, medium-range passenger jet in the Brazilian low-wing configuration. The drive is provided by two General Electric CF-34-10E turbofan engines with a thrust of 80.08 kN each. The prototype flight took place in 2004. Series production started shortly after and is still ongoing. The length of the aircraft is 36.65 meters with a wingspan of 28.72 meters. By 2012, approximately 110 machines of this type had been built. The Embraer 195 was created as an evolutionary development of the manufacturer's previous design - the 190 model. Compared to its predecessor, it has an elongated hull, which allows it to take from 106 to 122 passengers (depending on the version), and is also heavier. Both machines, however, belong to the Embraer E-Jets family, which means that they share many common components. Both the Embraer 195 and the entire Embraer E-Jets family turned out to be a great sales success for the company. Airplanes of this type are operated by many airlines, including LOT Polish Airlines.
