AZ-Model 7637 K-65/C-5 Čap In Czechoslovak service

The Mraz K-65 Cap was a light liaison and communication aircraft of Czechoslovakia production from the Second World War and the post-war period in the high wing configuration with a fixed landing gear in the classic configuration. Serial production of this machine started in 1944 and lasted until 1949, ending with the production of about 140 machines of this type. The length of the aircraft was approximately 9.9 meters with a wingspan of approximately 14.3 meters. The Mraz K-65 Cap was in fact manufactured in Czechoslovakia, and more precisely at the Benes-Mraz aviation plant in the city of Chocen, by the German Fieseler Fi-156 Storch. During World War II, two versions of the Fi-156 were produced at the Benes-Mraz plant: C-7 and D-2. The first was a three-seater version, dedicated primarily to observation tasks, the second, in turn, had a modernized chassis and a slightly enlarged cockpit. After 1945, production continued under the designation Mraz K-65 Cap, although without major changes in design. The main user of these machines was the Czechoslovak Air Force.
