Brier Island Lighthouse is located on the island of the same name in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia on the Atlantic coast. The building was erected as early as 1809, i.e. in the course of the Napoleonic wars in Europe, but its appearance was far from the present one. Shortly after, the lantern came into use. In 1832, it was rebuilt, and in 1873, the lighthouse was added - a sound signal, which fantastically facilitated navigation among the mists that often appeared in this area. In 1944, i.e. in the course of World War II, the lighthouse burned down completely, and shortly afterwards a new concrete lantern was erected in its place, in the form of an octagonal tower tapering towards the top. The lantern has survived to this day in this form. At present it is painted in white and red horizontal stripes. The lantern and roof of the lantern are also red. The modern height of the lighthouse is 18 meters, and it rises 29 meters above sea level.
