Aber 72L-70 Lufa 107 mm ZIS-6 do KW-2

ZIS-6 is a 107 mm tank gun from the interwar period and the early stage of World War II, produced by the Soviet Union. In fact, this gun never got beyond the prototype stage and was never mass-produced. It was to be the main armament of the KW-3 heavy tank (Object 223), the production of which - initially small-series - was probably planned for the end of 1941. However, nothing came of these plans in connection with the outbreak of the German-Soviet war in June of the same year. It is highly probable that the ZIS-6 gun in its final production form would be based on the solutions used in the Model 1940 M-60 division cannon of the same 107 mm caliber, which was already produced in small numbers in 1940-1941. The latter cannon was capable of firing several types of missiles, including the B-420 APBC type, an anti-tank cap core shell. With this missile, it was probably able to penetrate an armor plate with a slope of 60 degrees and a thickness of 106 mm from 500 meters, a 99-mm plate from 1000 meters and a 92-mm plate from 1500 meters.
