The Messerschmitt Me 264 is a German four-engine reconnaissance aircraft and a metal-structure strategic bomber in a double-tail high-wing configuration from the end of World War II. It was originally intended to be a support plane for German U-boats in the Atlantic, but was quickly incorporated by the Luftwaffe into the Amerika Bomber program - a bomber capable of bombing New York from bases in northern France and then returning to the European continent. In total, only 3 prototypes were built, and serial production was never launched. The first flight took place on December 23, 1942. The driving unit during this flight were four BMW 801 G / H engines with a power of 1730KM each. Development work was officially completed at the end of 1944. Technical data: length: 21.3m, wingspan: 43m, height: 4.3m, maximum speed: 560km / h, maximum range: 15000km, maximum ceiling 8000m, armament: fixed - 4 MG131 13mm machine guns and 2 cannons MG151 / 20 caliber 20mm, pendant mounted - up to 3000 kg of bombs.
