The PŁAB-250-120 is a Soviet, free-fall, Soviet deep-sea bomb from the Cold War period. The length of the bomb was 150 cm with a diameter of 240 millimeters. The curb weight reached 123 kg, and the bomb span was 280 millimeters. PŁAB-250-120 was developed in order to destroy enemy submarines by own aircraft - mainly ZOP (anti-submarine) helicopters. The bomb had a ring on the front of its body, which acted as an aerodynamic brake and slowed down its descent and made it easier to descend. It is assumed that the PŁAB-250-120 could be dropped at heights from 100 to 2000 meters, and its maximum immersion depth did not exceed 300 meters. Interestingly, the bomb has a double-action fuse that can detonate the bomb both at a certain depth and in close proximity to an enemy submarine.
