The Pfalz D.XII is a German, single-engine fighter in a mixed biplane design from the First World War. The flight of the prototype took place in the spring of 1918 and very quickly went into mass production. 500 copies were ordered, the first of which went to the Western Front in August 1918. The planes flying on them were considered good and not much inferior to the Fokkers D.VII. The plane, like most of the Pfalz designs, had refined aerodynamic shapes. It was powered by a 185 HP BMW or 180 HP Mercedes engine. After the truce, most of the ordered copies ended up in the depots and were offered to foreign buyers. There were two Pfalz D. XII fighter planes in the Polish aviation. Technical data: length: 6.35m, wingspan: 9m, height: 2.7m, maximum speed: 170km / h, speed of climb: 4.09m / s, practical ceiling: 5640m, armament: fixed - 2 LMG 08 machine guns / 15 caliber 7.92mm.
