The Potez 63 is a French plane, designed in 1938. in reconnaissance, fighter and bomber versions. Airplanes of this series were twin-engined, with a cantilever low wing and all-metal structure, with a double tail. The concept of such an aircraft was born in France in 1934, as a result of the then fashionable concept of a "universal plane". The flight of the prototype took place on April 25, 1936. New models within the "Potez 63" family were quickly developed. The resulting min. Potez 630 (heavy fighter), Potez 631 (night fighter) or Potez 63.11 A3 (reconnaissance and army cooperation aircraft). From May 1938, the planes went to French line units. The plane failed during the French campaign. It was highly vulnerable and had worse performance than the Bf-109.
