The Samaritan woman was a Polish sanitary motorboat from the interwar period, World War II and the post-war period. The launch of the vessel took place in September 1931. It was 15 meters long and 3.8 meters wide. The drive was provided by a single engine with a power of 60-65 HP. The Samaritan woman was built in a shipyard in Gdynia and was the first vessel designed and constructed entirely in this port from the beginning. The motorboat entered service in 1933 and served as a port physician's disposition unit, and its shipowner was the Maritime Office in Gdynia. The Samaritan woman was not a successful construction - she was not very maneuverable, she had an underdeveloped ventilation system, she was also highly emergency and not very controllable at higher waves. For these reasons, the vessel was finally handed over to the Gdynia Harbor Master's Office. The motorboat survived the war, although it was damaged in its last stage. Its renovation took place only in 1971, and shortly after it was erected as a monument in front of the building of the then Shipyard. Of the Paris Commune.
