Zebrano 72106 Zis-44 Ambulance

The ZiS-44 was a Soviet ambulance vehicle from the Second World War. The vehicle had a total length of about 6.1 meters and a width of about 2.3 meters. It achieved a maximum speed of 65-70 km / h. A 73 HP engine was used as the drive. The ZiS-44 was created on the basis of the ZiS-5V car, which in turn was a modernization of the ZiS-5 car. Compared to its predecessor, the ZiS-5V (launched into production at the end of 1941) was characterized by a maximally simplified design, especially when it comes to the driver's cabin, front of the car and electrical equipment. The ZiS-44 took over a lot of elements from the ZiS-5V, but it will receive a completely new wooden transport compartment for the transport of the wounded. ZiS-44 was able to transport 7 wounded on a stretcher and 8 wounded in a sitting position. in the years 1942-1944 about 520 units of this vehicle were produced.
